This is the first appearance of four for Gyles Servo in the album, a character who is used as a messenger and motivating source, a cosmos travelling Hermes of the U.G.G.P. Joe is plagued by insecurity and doubt; he feels that he is destined for something, some mission, something bigger than himself. In his attempts to search out his ideas and define his goals, Joe feels pressure from his friends and family to fall into conformity. Joe, at this point, can not define what his goal is, but he knows there is something greater waiting for him. Gyles appears as Gyles Coyote, a travelling preacher and motivational speaker. Advertizing for his upcoming Travelling Gospel Hour of Truth and Power appearance, Gyles calls out to Joe from his sidewalk podium, encouraging the young man. “Don’t let them stop you,” Gyles pontificates, “Keep to your soul.” Joe takes Gyles’ words to heart. “How can it be he knows how I feel,” Joe wonders, “It’s as if he knows what I am thinking.” This is the first time Joe, unknowingly, is being guided into the right direction, the direction that the U.G.G.P., through the help of Gyles, to determine if Joe is truly a chosen candidate for training.
lyrics
Gyles Coyote – Inspirational Speaker
Gyles: Don’t let them stop you
You seek to know
People are just jealous of your focus and control
How can they stop you?
What do they know?
You control your destiny create yourself to what you want to be
Joe: I never act for sure
I have courage but I’m insecure
If my deeds truly deserve their worth
Then when everyone says, “Why can’t I be more like them defend the status role
of human kind by never stepping out of time and teeter on Fate’s thin-spun line to troll out on the stretching line leads to the end of people’s lives…”
Gyles: You’ve heard the calling
It’s reached your soul
Ancient voices try to serenade the useful fold
Look up above you
Forget below
Osiris may be waiting but the jealous Nyx seduces the bold
Gyles: Don’t let them stop you
It’s reached your soul
People are just jealous of your passion and control
Look up above you
Forget below
You control your destiny create yourself to what you want to be
Joe: Keep moving for my goal
Courage after every fall
Who can ever live for sure
If they are made to follow other’s rules?
Gyles: Keep to your soul
Stand for what you know
Stand while others don’t
