Joe is becoming troubled. He is having memories of places he has never been to or seen; his dreams are becoming oddly vivid and realistic of space travel and cosmic images. Spending quiet reflective time looking up at the stars, Joe is feeling the increasing pull to be space bound, to free himself from the confines of gravity and pursue his still indefinable mission. Since high school, he knows he is destined for greatness, spurred-on by a desire to revolutionize space travel and explore the cosmos. He feels out of place in his current life, longing for “the hope of belonging I never feel when I am here” and intuitively feeling he would be more in place in outer space, more comfortable among the stars to “feel the non-air and touch the blackness of sky.” As he scans the night sky, as though he will find his answer in the stars just by looking, he feels a sense of “home”, as though the cold visage of space offers a sense of comfort he can not, or will not, feel while on Earth. Joe begins to realize that his “body moves with mystic energy,” a realization that an unknown power or force is attempting to guide his actions.
lyrics
My Memory
My memory
Cannot find the place I always dream
A frequency
Shows my mind the thoughts I wish to see
To seek from me
A goal in life in which I must succeed
I guarantee
My body moves with mystic energy
Something is out there
I can’t let it pass me by
Feel the non-air
And touch the blackness of sky
My memory
Fills my mind with quantum energy
To seek for me
A cause of action with certainty
From jealousy
Become the adventure I want to be
And totally
Re-create space travel history
How can I go home?
I know it’s up there
The hope of belonging
I never feel when I’m here
My memory
Cannot find the place I always dream
I guarantee
My body moves with mystic energy
A frequency
Shows my mind the thoughts I wish to see
To seek from me
A goal in life in which I must succeed
My memory
Fills my mind with quantum energy
To seek for me
A cause of action with certainty
From jealousy
Become the adventure I want to be
And totally
Re-create space travel history
Don’t want it for nothing
Don’t want it for nothing
